![]() Gamers must maintain a connection to EA's Origin digital service, through which they can compete with friends to earn top scores and achievements, participate in global challenges, and receive automatic updates and extra missions. New data visualization features replace the franchise's traditional charts and graphs, and are designed to give gamers a clearer picture of how to manage their resources and address problem zones.Multiplayer in SimCity takes on something of an MMO feel, with all user-designed cities and regions existing within the larger SimCity World. The game also includes a variety of new road tools that allow players to create streets that curve and wind as much as they please. Low-density areas are likely to spring up around dirt roads, while six-lane avenues may produce large businesses and high-rise condos. Buildings like fire stations and hospitals can also be upgraded to serve more Sims in a quicker manner.SimCity has done away with its staple of Light, Medium, and Heavy zoning in favor of a new system in which population density is directly tied to the city's roads. Industries, and even specific buildings, now have much more influence over the surrounding areas, with colleges turning nearby homes into frat houses, and coal mines resulting in local factories. Cities can be specialized like never before, allowing gamers to create a college town full of schools and museums, or an entertainment hub packed with casinos and excitement. As always, players attempt to grow their quiet burg into a thriving metropolis by zoning for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, balancing revenues and expenditures, and keeping track of relevant data such as crime, employment, education, and pollution. The new GlassBox game engine was designed to simulate everything in the cities, from water flowing through pipes and fire spreading realistically, to individual Sims working, purchasing goods, and getting stuck in traffic. This release comes with up-to-date 3D visuals, an entirely new simulation engine, the ability to manage up to 16 cities simultaneously, and multiplayer options. ![]() ![]() The series that created a simulation empire returns to once again let gamers build, manage, and possibly even destroy their own cities in SimCity. ![]()

![]() ![]() It'll trim the hash to get the first 32 characters of it. If it finds the public key in the key field of the manifest.json, it'll decode the Base64 into binary and then get its SHA256 hash. Public keys are associated with extensions via the "key" field in the manifest.json. Now that we understand how public keys play a role here, let's talk about where they're stored. Chrome does this every time you load an extension! Since your public key is readily available, skeptics can test the authenticity of the message using your public key and inspect the contents to make sure the hashed values match. And you can trust this message because the only person who can create this kind of message is the person with a certain private key tied to this extension's public key." So whenever you package a CRX file, a little header gets added that says "if you hash all the contents in this extension, you'll get this number: XYZ. The Chrome team uses digital signatures to accomplish that task. You have a Chrome Extension that you want to send to a friend, but your friend wants to ensure that nobody has tampered with it. ![]() ![]() So how does this relate to Chrome Extensions? For more information about public key cryptography, check out this great YouTube video from Computerphile discussing it. Okay, let's dig into that! What is a public key?įirst things first, what is a public key? Well, it's a concept from a type of cryptography known as Public Key or Asymmetric Cryptography. A Chrome Extension ID is the first 32 characters of the SHA256 hash of a public key, where characters 0-9a-f are translated to their respective a-p counterparts. ![]() ![]() ![]() The trailing might be too small to see in a subframe, but the combined image reveals the movement. Visually, the stars in each sub might appear round, but they are not round. Skipping this step means the stars in each subframe appear in the combined image at their original positions, so any movement that occurred from one sub to the next shows up as trailed stars. This is a stack of 17 5-minute subframes, combined without "registering" the individual subs to align the stars.Įxplanation: Registration shifts individual subframes so the stars line up. The autoguider keeps the guide star centered, but the image on the main camera moves relative to it, resulting in smeared stars and fuzzy details. Some items sag more than others, so the guide scope and the main scope no longer point precisely at the same spot in the sky. As the telescope tracks across the sky, gravity can cause equipment to sag very slightly. These parts may be the guide scope, the guide scope focuser, the guide camera, the main telescope, the main focuser, and/or the main imaging camera. The answer is differential flexure – bad news for anyone trying to guide a telescope with a separate guide scope and camera instead of with a second sensor inside the main camera, or an off-axis guider attached to the main camera.ĭifferential flexure occurs when part of the imaging system shifts slightly, while other parts do not. Why isn't the premium image as sharp or sharper than the SCT image? Both telescopes were precisely focused before exposing these images. The left image was taken with a basic 9¼" Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope, while the image on the right was taken with a premimum 5" refractor. These two images show part of the Crescent Nebula. ![]() ![]() ![]() By default, your clipboard history is automatically erased after 30 days, but you can change this setting in your iPhone’s Settings app. When the menu pops up, tap “Paste” to view your clipboard history.įrom here, you can tap on any item to paste it into your note, or tap “Clear All” to remove everything from your clipboard. ![]() ![]() You may lose a few initial match-ups, but you will win the war of attrition. It will help you endure the onslaught of enemies. You want one priest in every non-evil group you make. Most classes need high charisma at the very least to promote, while some need high, and others need low.Ĭlerics are OP. Don't have the exact calculations, but it's something you want to keep in mind. And if your enemy Ali is low, then your Ali will increase. So if your current Ali is low, it will lower itself further. It is also determined by your current Ali, and the Ali of your opponent. Ali is a bit more complicated than that though. Fight enemies of higher level and Cha and Ali will increase. Fight enemies of lower level and Cha and Ali lower. If you've got a good grasp on alignment and charisma, it's well worth investing the time to train your angels and fairies, as they become powerhouses at their last stage of advancement. Princess is arguably *the* best unit in the game due to how much stronger she makes her unit.Īs a general point of interest, you'll find most high-powered units on the higher end of the alignment scale, especially since most enemies late game are weak against holy. Your named females, even Rauny, has respectable intelligence to make use of her all-target holy attack, and if you make a princess the leader of a unit, all units will get an extra attack that round. If you ever get a dream crown, and you will get at least one if you find all the side quests, then promote one of your females, preferably a named one, to princess at once. Mostly classes to look forward to, as well as tips on how Ali and Cha works, and there's also a spoilered list of the unique characters. The first 1-2 teams pound on the enemy and then retreat. One trick I found effective is to stack 2-3 teams and send them at a powerful enemy force. So if anyone has some tips and tricks they want to share, go right ahead. I have to vary my army's composition to keep up (A magicless team will take forever to beat a dollmage+golem combo). It means I can't design one kind of team for any situation.
